PARKING INFO Parking
Meters: Meters are in effect from the Friday immediately
preceding Memorial Day (May 23, 2008) until and including
the second Sunday following Labor Day (Sept. 14, 2008), from 10am until midnight.
New 2008 meter info:
- $1.50 per hour on Rehoboth Ave. and all metered ocean
blocks
- $1.25 per hour on First Street and the second block west
of ocean.
- $1.00 per hour all remaining meters
- 30 minute meters: $1.00
- Meters will be retrofitted to accept credit and debit
cards
Change machines are available
at Rehoboth Avenue & First Street and on the third block of Rehoboth Avenue next to the Fire
Department. Change is also available at the
Parking Meter Department at 30 1/2 Lake Ave. (behind city
hall). Parking meters accept quarters only.
Limited parking is also available at the Convention Center next to City Hall on
Rehoboth Avenue. Just use the quarter deposit machine in the
center of the lot for your desired time and place time sheet on your car dashboard.
Please do not park in
driveways, across sidewalks, at yellow curbs or in any yellow areas. Do not allow your
vehicle to cross any part of the yellow line. These regulations are enforced and violators
will have their vehicles towed or impounded.
Parking Permits: In
the non-metered areas, a parking permit is required daily from
10am-5pm the Friday before Memorial Day
(May 23, 2008) until
Labor Day. The permit fees are:

Weekend Daily (Saturday-Sunday).............................$13
3-Day Weekend (3 consecutive days Fri.-Mon.)...........$30

Seasonal Non-transferable.............................$125 ($65 after

Parking Permits are available for sale at the
following locations:
- City Hall - 229 Rehoboth Avenue
- Parking Meter Division - 30 1/2 Lake Ave (Behind City
Hall)
- Permits are available for purchase at check in time at
several local Real Estate Offices.
- Rehoboth Avenue coming into town after crossing the draw
bridge.
- Bayard Avenue coming into town after crossing over Silver
Lake.

Parking Tickets:
RB parking tickets are stuffed into bright yello w
envelopes like this one.
If you receive a parking ticket, you can pay the fine at the
Parking Meter Division, 30 Lake Avenue,
(behind City Hall). You may also mail it in the envelope to City of
Rehoboth Beach, P.O. Box C, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Expired meter tickets are $20,
$35 after 72 hours, and $75 if not paid in 30 days. You can find a full

Where Can I Get Change for Parking
Meters?
Change for parking meters can be found at several locations. You can make change at
the quarter kiosk on Rehoboth Avenue next to the Fire Station, or
Rehoboth Avenue & First street next to the comfort station, or at the
Parking Meter Department at 30 Lake Avenue (behind City
Hall). Also, there are two change machines located on Rehoboth Ave. in the center medians.
One is at First St. next to the public restrooms and the second is at Second Street.
For Summer 2008, meters will be retrofitted to accept credit and
debit cards.
Dewey Beach
streets require parking permits until the Monday after Labor Day.
Permits can be purchased at the Town Hall at 105 Rodney Avenue, Dewey
Beach, in person or at the automated vending machine, by cash or credit
card. Call 302-227-6363 for more info.
Comfort Stations & First Aid: A first aid facility is located at the Beach Patrol Headquarters at
Baltimore Avenue and the Boardwalk. It is staffed with a full time person
skilled in first aid and with radio contact to ambulance and fire department services. Public restrooms are located at Delaware Avenue and the Boardwalk,
Rehoboth Avenue and First Street, and Baltimore Avenue and the Boardwalk.
Wheelchairs & Beach Access: Ramps
to the beach are available at Maryland Avenue, Philadelphia Street and the Boardwalk and
Surf Avenue and the Boardwalk. "Beach Wheels" wheelchairs are available
at the first aid/comfort station on the Boardwalk at Baltimore Ave. Parking spaces are
provided for the handicapped throughout the City. Vehicles with
handicapped plates or permits who park in metered spaces will be
required to pay the meters. For

Recycling Center: Behind
the City & Police offices on Rehoboth Avenue and in the parking lot
of the Gold's Gym shopping center on Highway One near the Canal Bridge.
