Beebe Healthcare Day set for Lewes Farmers Market

Autumnal wreaths, apple cider and autumn squashes will be among the fall offerings at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 25, at George H.P. Smith Park, Johnson and DuPont avenues in Lewes. In case of inclement weather, the market moves to Shields Elementary School parking lot at Sussex Drive and Savannah Road.

Beebe Healthcare representatives will be on site with health screenings and two demonstrations. Free healthcare screenings with Beebe nurses will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Beebe tent. At the demo tents from 9 to 9:30 a.m., Arlene Feleccia, registered dietitian, diabetes care and education specialist, will present on diabetes management and medical nutrition. Cape Gazette food writer Denise Clemons will provide tips for healthy cooking from 10 to 11 a.m.
