What Makes Us Tick?

Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, #2, Dartmouth Plaza, Lewes (behind Wawa). Presented by the Rehoboth Beach Film Society the What Makes Us Tick? program, an analytical film and discussion series that explores aspects of the human condition.  This year’s theme is Love and Life.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to share perspectives on the characters in the film, the plot, and how it relates to the theme of the series. If you love to watch and talk about films, or listen to others’ opinions, you will enjoy this experience.

The series begins Friday, January 17 at 7:00 PM with the heartwarming feature “Above the Clouds”. On her 18th birthday, headstrong and artistic Charlie makes a startling discovery. 

The series continues on Saturday, January 18 at 1:00 PM with “Love Goes Through Your Mind”. Contrary to her parents' wishes, 17-year-old Nina wants to attend college on the East coast. 

The series closes on Sunday, January 19 at 1:00 PM with “Kattumaram”. Middle-aged fisherman Singaram takes into his home his niece and nephew after their parents are killed by the Tsunami.

What Makes Us Tick? is open to the general public and RBFS members. Admission prices for each screening are $9 for RBFS members; $11 for future members. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the film. Tickets can be obtained online at www.rehobothfilm.com  , by calling 302-645-9095, ext 1, or visiting the RBFS office, Mon – Fri, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. Please note that tickets are non-refundable. To receive the membership discounted admission, proof of current membership must be presented at the time of purchase or, in the case of online or telephone reservations, at admission to the event.
