In 2023, the Lewes Historical Society’s interpretive programming will begin to focus on Lewes and the American War of Independence through Voices of Revolutionary Lewistown. The ongoing living history program will introduce guests to a diverse array of characters who found themselves in Lewes during the revolutionary period.

Each program will be held in Sussex Tavern, located on the LHS Historic Main Campus, 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes, and will feature different individuals who will share their personal experiences during the revolutionary period in an immersive, intimate setting. Guests will be encouraged to participate as conversation and debate unfold.
