“A Taste of Lewes’s Dutch Past”

10am-4pm, The Lewes Historical Society’s Zwaanendael Club Museum Store, 302 Savannah Road (along the route of the Tip-Toe-Through the Tulips Trolley Tours), Lewes. In the mid 19th century, a Dutch chocolatier named Conraad Van Houten helped transform the previously complex 18th-century artisan craft of grinding cacao on a stone into a mechanized industry, leading to the commercialization of the candy bar and other products we know best today.  Info: 302-645-7670 or visit: https://www.historiclewes.org/events/taste-lewess-dutch-past.
