The City of Rehoboth Beach has banned smoking on the beach and boardwalk. There are designated areas for smokers.

Thursday, January 29:  Encore Showing of “Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory.” 7:00 pm in the community room of Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes. In response to audience demand, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society is presenting an encore screening of the Audience Award winner for Best Documentary at the 2014 Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival. Admission is $9 and tickets can be purchased online at, or by calling 302-645-9095, ext 1. If available, tickets will be sold at the door, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Friday, January 30:  Encore presentation "In Organic We Trust"  7:00 pm at Movies at Midway, Rehoboth Beach. Presented by The Rehoboth Beach Film Society as this film was a sell out when it was screened on January 9, so reservations are suggested. Admission for this event is $5 for adults and $3 for children twelve and under. Tickets can be purchased online at  or by calling the Rehoboth Beach Film Society at 302.645.9095, ext. 1. 

Friday-Sunday, January 30 - February 1:  'Leading Ladies'  "Leading Ladies" Dinner Theatre presented by Possum Point Players, Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Road, Georgetown  This is a hilarious comedy about two English Shakespearean actors down on their luck. Friday & Saturday nights: Dinner-6:00pm and show-7:30pm, Sunday: Dinner-12:30pm and show-2:00pm. Click here or call for tickets at 302-856-4560.

Friday-Sunday, January 30 - February 1: 2015 Polar Plunge Weekend Festival  Benefiting Special Olympics Delaware. Saturday's festivities include: 5k Run to the Plunge, Ice Sculpting Demonstration, Restaurant Chili Contest, Polar Ice Cream Throwdown and so much more. Visit for more info and a schedule of events.

Saturday, January 31:  Metropolitan Opera Broadcast-  The Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation are proud to present The Metropolitan Opera’s live broadcast of Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” at 12:55 pm at the Cape Henlopen High School Theater. Seating is on a first come, first-served basis (no reserved seats). Online reservations may be made with MasterCard or VISA until noon on Friday, January 30. Sunday, February 1:  24rd Annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics  11:30am-3:30pm with plunge at 1:00pm, Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk near the bandstand.  The Plunge Festival features activities designed with the "Plunging family" in mind. The highlight is the actual Plunge, but many 'Bears' make a complete weekend. Scheduled activities and attractions for 'Bears' and their families begin on Friday.
