RBFS will be streaming "Once Upon a River"

Films made available for streaming by our distributors during the closure of the Cinema Art Theater due to the threat of the Coronavirus.

Rehoboth Beach Film Society is inviting moviegoers to enjoy its Cinema Art Theater from the comfort of their own homes with its Virtual Theatre. Available at , users may choose from a variety of features to screen on their devices while sheltering in place. Cost is $8 to $12.

“Once Upon a River,” adapted from the best-seller by Bonnie Jo Campbell i is a touching drama about an indigenous teenager embarking on an unexpected odyssey that will change her life.

After her father’s violent death in the 1970’s, Native American teenager Margo Crane flees down Michigan’s Stark River in search of her estranged mother. On the way, she encounters allies, enemies, danger, and the beauty of nature, all while coming to grips with her past and her own identity. A Midwestern Gothic coming-of-age fable set along the riverbanks, Chicago musician-filmmaker Haroula Rose’s debut feature is an evocative marriage of Winter’s Bone and Huckleberry Finn.
