The City of Rehoboth Beach has banned smoking on the beach and boardwalk. There are designated areas for smokers.

Friday-Sunday, May 22-September 20:  Rehoboth Beach parking meters will be in effect.  All meters are $2.00 an hour.  To use the Parkmobile system, click here.

Saturday-Saturday, May 23-May 30:  Come Sail on Kalmar Nyckel, Tall Ship of Delaware  Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, Public Pier. Kalmar Nyckel is a re-creation of the original ship that brought the earliest settlers from Sweden to Delaware, taking passengers on tours departing from Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal. Work alongside the volunteer crew … or just bring along a picnic and enjoy the sights and sounds of the water while the crew does all the work. For public sail tickets and more information about specific sails and times, visit  or contact the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation office at (302) 429-7447. Ticket prices are $60 for adults and $40 for children and youth ages 17 and younger.

Wednesday, May 27:  Volunteer Open House  5:00-6:00pm, The Lewes Historical Society invites those interested in volunteering, along with its current volunteers, to a Volunteer Open House. An introductory walking tour will be offered concluding with light refreshments at the “Historic Lewes, Delaware” exhibit in the Hiram Rodney Burton House on the Society’s Historic Campus. Wednesday, May 27:  Milton Free Summer Concert Series  Part of Milton Free Summer Concert Series, 7pm at the park in Milton. The Cape Henlopen HIgh School Jazz Band will perform a variety of your favorite tunes. Thursday, May 28:  Jusst Sooup Presented by Cape Theatre Academy,  7:00pm, Cape Henlopen High School Theatre, Lewes. The Cape Theatre Academy presents, Jusst Sooup, an original piece celebrating the work of Dale Dunning-the Soup Lady. Admission is free; however everyone is encouraged to bring a nonperishable item for the Jusst Sooup kitchen.

Saturday, May 30:  Lewes Men's Community Chorus and Tapsations!  7:00pm, Bethel United Methodist Church, Fourth and Market Streets, Lewes. The Lewes Men's Community Chorus and Tapsations! Dancers present their annual spring concert, "Here's to the Ladies." Info: 302-645-5399.
